Amrah Glass & Aluminium repairs and re-glazes damaged windows across Badgerys Creek, including farmhouses, granny flats, sheds, site offices and the new commercial buildings around the airport precinct. When a pane is beyond saving, we replace it with glass that complies with AS 1288. When the glass can’t be cut and fitted the same day, we make the opening secure.
Call 0468 497 928 and send a photo of the window. A clear photo and a rough measurement are usually enough for us to quote before we drive out.
Badgerys Creek isn’t a typical suburban street job. Most properties are on acreage or working land, and the suburb is changing quickly around the airport. The windows we deal with here usually belong to:
If glass has broken and you’re waiting for us, our guide on what to do in the first hour after a window breaks covers safe clean-up and temporary cover.
We start by looking at the glass itself.
If the pane is cracked, holed, shattered or fogged between layers, it has to come out. Window glass can’t be patched once it cracks, so we cut a new pane to the opening and fit it into the existing frame.
If the glass is sound but the window isn’t working, the fix is usually in the frame. That might mean new rubbers or putty, a resealed perimeter, replacement beading, or adjusting the rollers and catches so it closes and locks properly.
If the frame is rusted through, bent or badly out of square, which happens with old sheds and weathered farmhouses, we’ll say so and quote the frame work separately. We won’t fit new glass into a frame that won’t hold it.
Replacing a broken pane is also a good chance to upgrade.
Acoustic laminated glass has a special interlayer that reduces sound coming through the window. With the airport built to operate around the clock, some owners are choosing it for bedrooms when a pane needs replacing. It helps noticeably, but how much quieter the room gets also depends on the frame and seals, and we’ll be upfront about that.
Low-E glass has a coating that reduces heat coming through the pane. It’s a practical choice for west-facing rooms that bake in summer.
Toughened glass is required in doors, beside doors, in bathrooms and in low panes near the floor. We’ll check whether your window falls into one of those zones.
Laminated safety glass holds together if it’s hit, which adds security for isolated homes and sheds.
Double-glazed units can be made to order for newer homes and offices.

Badgerys Creek is further out than most suburbs we cover, so we plan the trip properly instead of squeezing it between other jobs. We’re regularly in the area, with glaziers already working in Cecil Hills and our regular Abbotsbury window work just along Elizabeth Drive. Most standard jobs are booked the same day or the next morning.
A few things help the visit run smoothly:
Large, toughened, laminated or acoustic panes are usually cut to order and take one to three business days. Until then, we board up or fit temporary acrylic so the building isn’t left open.
We also cover the northern side of the airport area. Our south Penrith glazing call-outs and the St Marys end of the new airport metro line are part of our regular run.
The price is fixed before we start. For insurance claims, we provide an itemised invoice and a short damage report.
We check the frame and measure the opening, not the broken glass. Then we remove every shard, clean out the rebate, fit and seal the new pane, and test the window opens, closes and locks properly. The old glass goes back to the van with us, which matters on properties with livestock, pets or children around.

Do you travel to rural properties in Badgerys Creek?
Yes. We service acreage homes, farm buildings and work sites across Badgerys Creek and the surrounding rural areas.
Can you replace glass in a shed or stable window?
Yes, as long as the frame is sound. If the frame has rusted or bent, we’ll quote the frame repair as well.
Will new glass reduce aircraft noise?
Acoustic laminated glass can noticeably reduce noise compared with standard glass. The final result also depends on the frame and seals, which we check before recommending it.
Can you fix windows on construction site offices?
Yes. We can work around site inductions and safety rules. Just let us know the requirements when you book.
What glass helps keep a hot room cooler?
Low-E glass reduces the heat coming through the pane. It works best on west-facing windows that get strong afternoon sun.
What should I do while waiting for the glazier?
Keep people and pets away from the broken glass, and cover the opening with plastic or board if it’s safe to do so. We’ll handle the clean-up and secure it properly when we arrive.
Which areas near Badgerys Creek do you cover?
Kemps Creek, Luddenham, Bringelly, Rossmore, Mount Vernon, Cecil Park, Austral, Orchard Hills and the wider Liverpool and Penrith areas.
